Everyone Vote

Hey everyone,
You can now all vote on whether you think we will be having a Boy, Girl, or (heaven forbid) Twins. The poll is at the bottom of the blog. Just so you know, Tyler votes for a Girl, and Kelly votes for a Boy (but is torn between that and twins..... yikes). Speaking of twins, when we were down in vegas for thanksgiving (No Andrew, we don't hate you), we got to visit for a while with great grandma Stapely. We told her that we had just found out that we were pregnant and she said "well Kelly you had better take care, there are probably 2 in there." We freaked. Why would she say that?!? She wasn't saying it in jest either, she was actually serious....... so needless to say we're a little scared. It would be kindof fun though. So anyways, we find out around Tyler's birthday (3/29) so vote before then!

We're Pregnant!

That's right, the rumors are true. We will be having our first child around late July. We're so excited! The night that we found out, we went over to Mom and Dad Dixon's house and showed Mom the 3 different pregnancy tests. At first she did not believe us, because we have teased her quite a bit in the past. When we finally convinced her, she screamed like she does when Kyle Korver hits a three in the last minutes of a Jazz game. We are now about 8 weeks along and Kelly has been feeling the effects of the first trimester, but luckily she does not get too sick, at least not yet. But other effects are definitely present, especially when it comes to food. It's funny because I will ask her while we are at the grocery store, I ask her "is there anything else that the baby needs?" When asking her this last week, she didn't even miss a beat when saying "Fish Sticks" haha. Here's a picture of what the baby should now look like, now developing it's heart and brain, as well as some fingers and it's eyes. We're so excited!

The Best Two Years

That time of year has come, and know I didn't forget about it like the old cliche says about bad husbands. Maybe not bad, just forgetful... Anyways, it seems like it was not very long ago that we were celebrating our wedding day. Today is our 2 year anniversary, and it's hard to find where the time has gone. Needless to say, we have had a lot of really great experiences together, and have been influenced by so many great examples in our families.
So here's a funny story : Kelly hates surprises. HATES them! She just cannot stand the thought of not knowing what I got for her for our anniversary. She was home from work at around 4:30, and decided to take a little nap before I got home. I got home at about 6:30, and the first thing that I hear when I open the door is "Honey, is that you?" "Yes," I said. She followed up with "Where's my preasant!?" I laughed, because it reminded me of a little girl before Christmas not being able to take the suspense of waiting for the next day. After some interrogation and guessing, she finally got what she wanted and opened her preasant a day early (She got 2 new pairs of boots, and I got an awesome new winter coat). How I let her talk me into it I just don't know.... Maybe it's those big baby blues =)

We LOVE our new house!

Tyler and I were lucky enough to get into a townhouse that we have had our eye on since we were first married... Thanks to the efforts of Tyler's mom. Now we are happily Lehi residents and live five blocks from Tyler's family. We Love it! Though we have only lived here for two weeks we have already christened the walls with blood... Let me explain: Tyler and I were horsing around one night, when our heads collided. He rolled one way and I rolled the other, completely absorbed in our own pain. When I felt something wet on my forehead. Needless to say I was shocked and at first didn't realise what had happened, til I kept getting wetter and wetter. Thats when it hit me... I was bleeding! I calmly told Tyler that I thought I was bleeding, and the look of sheer horror that came over his face when he turned to look at me caused me to back against the wall, smeering blood all over it. From the look he was giving me and how pale he went I thought for sure I was on the brink of death. He quickly rushed me to the bathroom, where he wouldn't let me look in the mirror, just proceeded to hastily wash off the cut so he could "see the damage.'' Since I still felt ok except for the blood that was by now going down my neck and dripping of my chin, I thought for sure I was going to be maimed for life by how he was acting. After half a dozen phone calls to Tyler's mother we got the bleedind stopped and applied gauze for the night. We then returned to the scene of the accident... It looked like a horror movie. Blood was all over the quilts of our bed and there were bloody handprints streaked across the wall. Scary. But in the end Tyler and I are both now healing nicely from our trama.
